A few days ago I met up with a Japanese sign language interpreter. She signed the word KODAMA for me and gave me brochures about Japanese Sign Language. As I am going through the pages, I encounter a language I do not understand in twofold:
During the last two weeks, I have mostly spent my time filming and recording sounds. In the forest next to the Takase River, I stumbled upon a plant I had never seen before. In order to find out the name of this plant, I searched with Google Images for the first time in my life. It didn’t give me a satisfying result.
At the entrance of the path entering the forest, there was a sign saying that there might be bears along the riverbank. Naoto and I didn’t carry a bell with us, so instead we decided to sing a song to let the bears know about our presence there.
