Genyu Terrace

Tadashi Kawamata(Japan / France)

Now on view

For the previous festival in 2017, the artist created “Genyu Rinkan Terrace”, a platform that blended community and environment to activate more activities in the buffer forest growing around the Northern Alps Eco Park, a general waste treatment facility. In co-operation with students in Japan and France, local woodcutters and nature guides, the artist organised an art school in the forest which provided workshop lessons. For this festival, the artist will bring in debris left in the incinerator of Eco Park as musical instruments and present “Three-day full moon day x Utashima shoka special live” just one day before the full moon.
