1953: Born and lives in Moscow.
From the 1960’s – 1980’s Nikita worked as an unofficial artist of the Soviet Union, holding performances in suburban areas as part of “group collective action” activities. In the early 1980’s he implemented “APTART”, transforming his one room apartment into an art installation. His creative themes are diverse, but his series of drawings based on the Japanese legend of the “Hokigi (broom tree)” are representative works.
