The Garden of Energeia

Along a wooden path alongside a trickle of spring water in Miyanomori Shizen-en with beautiful sunlight shining through the leaves, this circulating piece of art sits, intertwining the times of plant and bug lives with what we once were, together with a the words of a poet.
“I decided to call the time stored in Miyanomori Shizen-en The Garden of Energeia. When you pass along the wooden path and return to where you were, your body will be filled with energeia.”

Born in 1993 in Niigata, and currently lives in Chiba. Osanai deals with life expectancy and its relationship with the persistence of “memories”, while producing work as a poet and sculptor. She has recently worked on installations which involve each of these in a poetic space.
