Play with Water “The Theatre of Light”

Using a vacant house near Lake Kizaki as a stage, this art project explores connections between humans and water through “play.” In addition to the Theater of Light, where you can see the beautiful lake surface, and Future Atelier, created in 2021, Kimura introduces Memory of Time, connecting the current time with the past of the lake, and A Deck to Think about Ideas of a Pier, which extends from Future Atelier.

Born in 1971 in Aichi, and currently lives in Nagano. With the theme of “playing with the earth”, Kimura grasps natural phenomena as a universal language of the world, and conducts projects and workshops in and out of Japan. His major projects include Komorebi Project and Sea Gulls Parking Lot.
