Follow the Daidarabotchi

In the auditorium of the former Omachi Kita High School, Kotaka screens a faux documentary with the legendary giant man Daidarabacchi as its theme. He presents stories of Daidarabocchi, who was admired as a god of success and decline, from the viewpoint of citizens, administrators, and specialists from various fields, suggesting the way local areas and societies change.
This is a new folk tale woven from reality and fiction, based on traditional stories told in the area.
Takuro Kotaka(Japan)
Born in 1984 in Saitama. Kotaka conducts field work in areas that contain segmentation in their society, creating art films that span documentary and fiction. Working in cooperation with people at the center of the issues and also specialists, he explores loopholes in contemporary society while outputting them in his somewhat humorous expressions.
