A huge scene of light spreads through a classroom in the former Omachi Kita High School. Light is not present in itself – it is an after-image remaining in the retina or brain of the viewers. “Some things may seem large and certain, but not in existence, while others may be invisible but present. There are no real figures in the world: what we see is what our bodies and senses grasp.”

Works mainly in Europe. He has participated in about 200 exhibitions, including the world’s biggest art festivals. He was also selected as one of eight artists inspired by light by Optica magazine in 2022 (US), and as one of nine artists of the same kind by ARTDEX in 2019, and he continues to be at the forefront of light art in the world.
