3 ∴ O = 1 -change and conservation

Hitoshi Kuriyama

Inside of an old warehouse, Kuriyama creates a microcosm representing the interwoven natural system of circulation found in the vastwilderness of the Northern Alps. The installation takes up the entire warehouse and represents the many forms of water that are in a state of flux, changing depending on situation, appearing, yet then disappearing once again. Visitors experience the cycle of water through the sounds and light emanating from the work, vividly reminding them of the existence of water adrift in the atmosphere. “∴ O = 1 -change and conservation” evokes the beautiful, fluidly changing flow of water, bringing us right into the heart of nature.
